The Cayuga County Historian's Office has name indexed the New York State
Census records (Head of Household) for 1855, 1865, 1875, 1892, and 1905.
These returns differ from the federal in several categories: relation to
head of household, county of birth (if NY), and how many years they have
resided in the town.
A copy of the return can be obtained at our office for a low fee of $5 (including
postage)!

The Cayuga County Historian's Office
provides information and services to historical organizations, Town and Village
Historians and the general public. They maintain an extensive on- site resource
library and historical compilations that relate to all aspects of the history
of Cayuga County, New York. The staff of the Cayuga County Historian's Office
spends considerable time assisting researchers who wish to learn more about
the proud history or family genealogy within Cayuga County. They also actively
work with various organizations to promote the utilization and preservation
of historical sites and resources throughout the county.
